This panel features recent work by medievalist Germanists at Canadian universities that highlights interdisciplinary approaches to medieval German culture. The papers deal with texts, artifacts, and problems that have long been marginalized in Medieval German studies. What unites them is that each, in their own way, probes the methodological boundaries of the field, because the objects of study demand a decisively interdisciplinary and inclusive perspective.
